I'm a designer with a computer science background, living in Toronto. I specialize in user interface design, user experience design, and front-end development for web and mobile applications.
My design experience allows me to create simple, beautiful, and engaging user-centered experiences. My technical background keeps those designs grounded in reality and allows me to communicate clearly with developers and integrate their feedback into the design.
I primarily work with HTML5, CSS, and Javascript (including jQuery, Backbone.js, and other frameworks). I've also worked with Ruby on Rails, PHP, and C.
I was on the founding teams of several startups including Geni.com — a collaborative family tree site — and Yammer.com — a private social network for enterprise collaboration. Yammer has been acquired by Microsoft and is currently used by over 200,000 businesses worldwide.
Currently, I'm the lead designer at commonsku.com, a CRM, order management, and social collaboration tool for the promotional products industry.
